Hogan’s Alley
Explore Hogan’s Alley, a historic part of Vancouver’s Black community, and the changes brought by construction of the Georgia Viaduct.
Hogan’s Alley was a narrow lane between Union and Prior streets, running from Main to Jackson. Its neighbours included Black, Asian, Italian and Chinese residents. Construction of the Georgia Viaduct in 1971 demolished houses and businesses at the western end of the alley.
